| This is your special weekend to visit the Academy and, most importantly, your Cadet. ADVICE FOR PARENTS' WEEKEND Here is advice from parents who have attended Parents' Weekend. HOTEL - Book your hotel as early as you can.
- Appointee parents should book the hotel as soon as the appointment is received.
- Other parents should book the hotel for the next Parents' Weekend after returning from the current Parents' Weekend.
- Choose a hotel with a kitchenette so you and your cadet can enjoy leisurely meals in your room.
- Ask about cancellation policies - some hotels will charge you a minimum one-night stay even if you cancel.
FOURTH CLASS CADETS - Fourth Class cadets have to wear their uniforms when they appear in public.
- Bring casual clothes and night clothes that your cadets can wear in the hotel rooms..
- Your cadets might want to leave the Academy grounds for a few days.
- Sightsee EARLY so your cadets can leave the Academy grounds as soon as they are allowed to leave.
- Many cadets will totally refuse to go on the Jack's Valley tour.
- Let your cadets sleep. Many Fourth Class cadets want to stay in the hotel room and eat and sleep. This is normal.

- Lip balm with SPF
- Sunblock
- Hat
- Light jacket
- Umbrella
- Tote bag
REMINDERS - Drink a lot of water.
- Realize that you're at a high altitude and pace yourself.
